Paid Media Strategy and Activation Specialist

Overview of role

Gravity Global is looking for a paid media strategy and activation specialist across search, social, display (predominantly Google) to support our busy team in London.

This is a great opportunity to work in a rapidly growing global agency network, on sectors such as aerospace, technology, financial and software. Gravity Global is the world’s most awarded B2B agency and is currently agency of the year in both the UK and the US.

You need to be independent, self-organising, and self-motivated with a strategic and commercial head on your shoulders – figure out where the opportunity lies, what needs done, do it, and make it accountable to how it will drive campaign success. This is a new role in support of some of the smartest and busiest brains in the agency right up to the CEO.

Reporting into and mentored by the head of paid, data and analytics, the role will provide room for growth and the opportunity to be involved in diverse and challenging projects across our global agency network.

Experience / skills required

  • Strong experience creating / managing advertising on LinkedIn, twitter and Facebook. This would be everything from lead generation to traffic and brand awareness programmers
  • Working with the campaign creative and copywriting teams in asset creation
  • Strong experience creating/managing advertising on Google specifically
  • Good at keyword research/optimisation and reporting
  • Working with the copywriting teams in ad creation and be able to write ads independently
  • Strong experience reviewing/reporting and setting up Google Analytics
  • Good experience creating/managing display campaigns on Google
  • Experience with programmatic and other forms of Display would be a bonus
  • Working with the campaign creative and copywriting teams in asset creation
  • Strategic/commercial outlook: what the goals / KPIs might be for a campaign, which channels might be best placed to achieve them, what happens if it's not working, how could it scale up, align with creative and production agency teams to support strategic development and understand how all of this contributes to overall campaign and content strategies and be able to connect these up into campaign planning and asset/content creation
  • Good experience reporting on campaign performance from excel and dashboards to insights and recommendations
  • Ensure paid social campaigns are built on time and aligned with overall media strategy
  • Ensure central campaign goals are met and exceeded
  • Maintain budget trackers to prevent over or under-spend
  • Strong experience in a similar or related role
  • Hands on in developing strategy, activating, reporting on, and optimising paid media campaigns
  • The ability to communicate well – good at expressing reasoning and recommendations both verbally and written
  • A desire to learn and improve - we don’t need someone who is absolute expert on everything above, but you must be driven to learn from the team, self-starting in learning, and likewise contribute back into our collective expertise
  • Comfortable having client facing relationships, and confident presenting/able to think through things with clients
  • Able to deliver high-quality work to short deadlines
  • Desirable: Ability to contribute to and support organic social campaigns from a strategy and activation perspective, working with a copywriter
