Account Manager

(Finsbury Square - London)

Overview of role

We are looking for an individual who is keen to manage global campaigns development from inception: briefing, strategy, messaging (supported by the GAD, AD and Planners), right through to implementation (creative, content) and delivery, including proofreading, if necessary. This is a great role for someone who likes to see things through. You will be part of a 7-people strong team, working on one of our key client accounts who specialises in Accountancy Software.

The role consists in the management of 6-monthly and quarterly global campaigns, requiring both masters assets and localisation production – key markets are: UK/US/CAN/ZA/AUS/ES/FR/DE. This is a key role within the team, with lots of development potential for the right candidate, and it requires the chosen candidate to take ownership and lead on two of the client key segments.

You will engage with the wider teams at Gravity: strategy/planning, digital and creative departments to deliver your client’s campaigns.

The successful candidate will also work closely with the GAD and all the other members of the team, to support the financial management of the account. This is an extremely demanding client, so it is essential that all on the team pull together and support each other and ensure all work is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest of quality. Support amongst all team members extends to workload changes, holidays, absence, reviews etc.

This is a replacement role and there is progression for high achievers. There is a strong mentoring culture from Ada the GAD, who is a very supportive, dedicated and a nurturing and enthusiastic mentor, as well as the rest of the team, who care for and support each other in every way. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot with our agency and within this team.

Experience / skills required

  • Have excellent project manager skills with an eye for detail, accuracy, quality and timings
  • Have impeccable client management skills and confidence in communicating with clients both verbally and in written form
  • Have experience in the management and production of global digital marketing campaigns
  • Have a strong understanding of the processes for campaign master and localised assets production and delivery 
  • Have a strong commercial mindset and understanding of the financial workings of running an account
  • Are able and comfortable with raising estimates/quotes
  • Are comfortable briefing creatives as well as critiquing and giving feedback (with ideas if needed) on their work
  • Are proficient at writing creative briefs and confident at writing internal and external communication 
  • Are comfortable supporting and participating in the client quarterly reviews when required
  • Are a true team player - able and willing to support others in the team, taking an interest in what they are working on. You will ensure that you are aware and understand other team members’ work to ensure that you are able to cover their work when they are away
  • Are highly reliable, flexible, energetic, driven, personable, confident, a self-starter and a pro-active individual - these are all traits the rest of the team possesses, as such are a must-have for this team and for this client
  • Are comfortable working as part of a very close team within a global agency
  • Are someone who likes to see things through and to do so to the highest standards
  • Are confident and proactive, you like to take the initiative and you are happy and comfortable to share your opinions and ideas - this is not a role for a timid/shy individual
  • Have strong experience in a recent Account Manager role coupled with a solid understanding of digital
  • Desirable skills and experience: ABM, marketing automation, search and social experience/knowledge would be greatly valued and/or a second language

Remuneration / Hours

  • Competitive salary
  • Annual holiday entitlement of 20 days, rising to 25 days after 5 years of service
  • Normal working hours from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday, though a degree of flexibility will be required
